Multimedia Creations

CreateAthon 2025

For 24 hours, I stayed in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications with a group of my fellow students, and we embarked on a journey together to create useable and high-quality marketing for local non-profits. My group was assigned a non-profit called Release Over 20, focused on the education of fisherman to release fish over 20 inches. For this project, we were asked to create several deliverables such as billboard designs and posters. To start this campaign, we first looked at the mission statement of Release Over 20, as well as the marketing that they had done previously. I created several phrases and sayings, and helped work on the plans which the non-profit would use to market their mission. I focused on copywriting, and the different ideas we could use for the deliverables. Another thing that I created was this short clip, designed to be an ad to accompany the posters to be placed in bars.

Study Abroad Experience

Barcelona, Spain
June 2024

Last summer, I had the amazing opportunity to study abroad with the College of Information and Communication to Barcelona, Spain. I spent the month of June exploring Barcelona, and taking two classes focused on Multimedia Journalism and International Communications. It was an incredible experience, and I learned so much about journalism and about the way in which I can use my storytelling to connect with people all over the world. While there, we had multiple assignments within our groups to create articles and social media posts. The following posts were written by me about specific places that my group found in Barcelona. As well as writing these posts and editing the photos, I also worked with my group on creating a video on a topic of our choosing. My group's topic was Sweet Treats in Barcelona, and we created a video detailing the multiple different types of desserts that we found and tried. For the video, I wrote the voiceover and recorded it. I also came up with the creative ideas that were used in the editing of the video, as well as being featured in several clips used in the video.

Let your love for food bloom at Brunch It

Bright colors, fragrant scents, and aesthetically pleasing decor are descriptions of flowers, but also descriptions of Brunch It, a small brunch place in the heart of Barcelona. The outside is reminiscent of a flower store, but the culinary creations served are anything but common. Barcelona is home to many breakfast spots, serving croissants, pastries, and other well-loved breakfast foods. Brunch It is a unique spot that is not only the perfect place to take Instagram photos, but also the perfect place to grab a quick bite, and to try new and exciting takes on classic breakfast dishes.

All Aboard for a Night of Fun!

Train aficionados, Agatha Christie fans, and avid bar-hoppers, we have just the place for you. Quiet, secluded, and in the middle of sprawling Barcelona, the Orient Express is not only part of the name of a famous murder mystery, but also the name of a fantastic and fun-filled bar. With two areas for seating and drinking, the experience at the Orient Express is something completely unique that you won’t want to miss out on. While themed bars are popular in the lively nightlife of Barcelona, the Orient Express takes the idea of a theme to a whole new level, and creates an immersive atmosphere for all to enjoy. If you’re a fan of ordering without having to speak to someone, the Orient Express has found a way around that. At their larger location, a mini train will move around, bringing delicious drinks and taking orders from happy patrons. If you’re looking for a calmer, more immersive evening to truly feel like you’re on the Orient Express, look no further than across the street from their main location. Complete with conductors, tickets, and the perfect train car seats, your experience will leave you hydrated, happy, and with a new appreciation for trains. Quiet, secluded, and in the middle of sprawling Barcelona, the Orient Express is not only part of the name of a famous murder mystery, but also the name of a fantastic and fun-filled bar.
